Robert won the Vijay Television Award for Best Choreographer for his work on the 2012 movie Podaa Podi. He also had a cameo appearance in the film’s “Love Panlaama?” music video. Actor Tinku, who worked with composer Robert on the film Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017), said in a video that musician Amresh Ganesh had stolen the song “Hara Hara Mahadevaki” from the film. As previously mentioned, Amresh was credited by Tinku as a co-writer on the song back at the beginning of 2015; however, production issues delayed the film, and Amresh ultimately used the music for another endeavour. Amresh Ganesh denied the accusations and provided evidence that Tinku and Robert had been trying to defraud him by soliciting donations for the defunct project at a news conference he held at the beginning of February 2017.
