The sole child of her artist parents, Uma. Her mother, Kamala Kamesh, was a well-known actress who is well-respected in the business, and her father, Kamesh, was a music director. She was raised alone by her mother when her father passed away when she was nine years old. In 1992, she wed actor Riyaz Khan from Malayalam. Shariq Hassan Khan and Shamarth Hassan Khan are their two sons.
Khan attended Kodambakkam’s Fatima Convent School. She competed at the state level in the 100-meter dash, javelin throw, and dance. She received classical dance training before pursuing salsa and other Latin American dance styles.
